Want to win $1500 for your Club or Team?

REF is giving away $1,500 grants to TWO awesome Riverview School District groups.

All you have to do is rally your people to register for the REF Run 5K on Friday, June 5.

Here’s how it works:

Any Riverview School District class, club, team, or group can join – sports teams,

school clubs, bands, running groups, you name it!  

Two Ways to Win!

  • $1,500 Grant: Awarded to the group with the most paid registrations (minimum 5).
  • $1,500 Grant: Race-day Raffle – All groups with 5+ paid registrations are entered into the race‑day raffle.
  • One‑Grant Limit: Each group can win only one grant, even if eligible for both categories.

To register as part of a group, simply answer YES under “Would You Like to Join or

Create a Group?” when submitting your registration. Register at refrun.org and help your group win a $1,500 grant!  

REF Grants in Action!

A recent REF grant empowered Librarian Gretchen Harmon to reimagine the nonfiction section at Cherry Valley Elementary, giving students fun, kid-friendly ways to browse, explore, and fall in love with new topics.

With front-facing displays and hands-on discovery stations, young readers are now finding books that spark their curiosity all on their own.  Watch how this simple shift is opening doors for students and inspiring them to explore the world through reading.

And as Mrs. Harmon reminds us all, “Keep reading – books are awesome!” We couldn’t agree more.

March Milestones

Our latest REF grant is bringing electronics and construction kits to Tolt Middle School’s 6th grade Digital Design and Makers Lab. Students will explore electricity, build moving creations, and understand the systems powering our modern world.

This grant also marks a huge milestone: over $20,000 awarded in just the last three months to support innovative learning across our district.
